Alfred Johnson is the Sheriff of God’s Mercy and the son of Governor Johnson.
We first meet Alfred in the beginning of book one, ‘Butterfly Islands‘ where the twenty-nine year old man is supposed to marry Casey who is half his age. Casey flees from the wedding and Alfred feels humiliated by her and seeks revenge.
Alfred has a feroucious appetite for young girls and a very deviating sexuality. He spends most of his time in the brothels and taverns of God’s Mercy where he is constantly looking for younger and younger prostitutes.
Alfred’s relationship to his father is plagued by the fact that Alfred’s mother died giving birth to him and his father, the Governor, blames him for it. His whole life, Alfred has struggled for his father’s approval, but he has never gained it.
Jessica Börner from Kim-Design has done it again. Here, she has made a drawing of Alfred, one of the most despised characters in Chronicles of the Twenty-One Butterflies.
